Support Kim Creper in the Epilepsy Walk
Posted about 11 years ago
Dear AMSN Friends,
I am writing to ask for your support of a cause that is very important to me, the work of the Epilepsy Foundation Western/Central Pennsylvania (EFWCP). My daughter was diagnosed with Epilepsy her Junior year of high school, she is now 26 years old, she is currently seizure free 4 years although we don't let our guard down as she was 4.5 years seizure free the last time she suffered some major seizures, even dislocating her should twice and eventually needing shoulder surgery. Our family walks in the Epilepsy Walk every year, we even went to the national walk one year in Washington DC. We would love for you to join our team, Legs of Glory. The last two years we have had friends from McKeesport Hospital join us and we all had a great time.
Epilepsy is the most common neurological condition in children and the third most common in adults. One out of every ten people will experience a seizure in their lifetime. Each year thousands of people turn to the EFWCP for support and in these difficult economic times, the EFWCP is receiving more calls for help than ever! The callers are your neighbors,
co-workers, friends, and family members and you can make a positive impact in their lives.
The Pittsburgh Pirates and the EFWCP invite you to support the 26th Annual Pirates Family Fun Run/Walk for Epilepsy. The event will be held at PNC Park and all funds raised will be used to support the mission of the EFWCP which is to lead the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy.
Wont you please support my fund raising efforts in the Fun Run/Walk? It?s easy to give. Just click on www.epilepsyrunwalk.kintera.org to make your secure online donation on the website. Or, you can mail a check made out to the EFWCP. My address is listed below.
The EFWCP needs your help to make sure that the information, support, and programs continue to be available for people with seizures.
I look forward to welcoming you as a proud team supporter. Together, we can make a difference and help people with epilepsy achieve what we all dream of ? life without compromise.
Sincerely,
Kim Creper
